About The Exhibit

The Human Body zone is an area devoted to biology and the study of our bodies. Using different activity kiosks, children can learn details about themselves and their individual uniqueness. At one kiosk, they may measure their height or weight, and at another, they may examine the features of their faces.

The other half of the Human Body Zone is devoted to role-play and themed as a clinic. The centrepiece of this zone is a large model of the human body with removable organs, bones and other body parts. Nearby are doctor’s clipboards, coats, stethoscopes and other instruments for open role-play.

There is a life-sized interactive screen that displays the different systems in our body and give children visual representations of how these systems work. There is also a display wall where children can compare and contrast x-rays images.

At this zone, children learn about cooperation, teamwork and other social skills necessary to complete a common task, as well as positive values like compassion and empathy when they role play as doctors and nurses.
